Curing Rebels

A small artisan producer making all things cured, fermented and smoked. Taking inspiration from tradition but not following it.

Tasked with creating a brand that matched Rebel's ethos, it was essential to avoid any clichés in this sector and have a product that really stood out from its competitors. The name Rebel gave license for the brand and packaging to be bold and not have to take itself too seriously.
From the beginning we intended to wrap the products in as little packaging as possible. We sourced 100% plastic free, compostable and biodegradable packaging for the elements that were needed. We designed a sticker system that allowed Rebel to create small batches of specific products, without the need for large and costly print runs.

Rebel source the best produce they can find. Best means high welfare, free range, local and happy animals. Their pigs are a little over eleven miles away from their Brighton HQ, reared in open fields on the south downs. Their salmon are sourced from the oldest independent, owner-operated, salmon farm in the north west of Scotland, hand reared with room to grow and without antibiotics or growth promoters.
